THFD Station 10 was commissioned in 1914 and was located at 14th St. and Barbour Ave in Terre Haute, Indiana. The Station 10 building was demolished in the late 1970’s. Amongst the 10's were the first Black Firemen of Terre Haute. Firemen during segregation era: William Anderson, Emory Anderson, William Anderson, Joseph "Sonny" Cherry Sr., Lloyd Cottee Sr. 1935 to 1965, Howard Edwards, Charles Holbert, Albert Howell, Joe Manuel, Russel Manuel, Robert Mathas, Henry McAlister, Leon McKnight, Charles Merriweather, Bill Reed Sr., Leon McKnight, Charles Merriweather, Bill Reed Sr., L.D. Scott, Millan Filmore Smith, Robert Smith, Crawford Stewart, Paul Stewart, Paul Stewart, Stanley Stewart, Nathan Tootle, Billy E. Wills Sr. Firemen post segregation: Orville Anderson, Victor Cooper, Major Eugene Gardner, Sylvester Gardner, Bill Reed Jr.
